Well, following our stunned discovery yesterday, we decided we would go straight to Tesco's today, and buy another tester kit. There was always that small percentage chance that it was wrong.
Now we have four blue lines.
We are fairly convinced now, but it all still seems a bit sureal. When you decide to have a kid, you kinda expect it's gonna happen sometime in the future, but you are still a little surprised when it actually does.
Suddenly, instead of this vague, notional future, you have this clearly defined timescale. Time to get planning. But then at the same time, it seems far too early to be planning anything.
So we resorted to Plan B. Grinning at each other and saying 'four blue lines'.
I've been thinking about startinq a blog for a while now.
I kinda like the concept, plus my colleague in work has one, and I really like it. It's so un-self-concious. I don't think he knows that i read it.
So, today we got Two Blue Lines. This could mean that I've entered a new phase of my life, and whether I have or not, it seemed like a good place to start.
Of course, i haven't got a blog coded, so I am writing this on my Palm, with Max asleep beside me.
(Additional Note: I've started building the site, so I'm adding some entries from memory, and this one which I really did write on my Palm at the time. So excuse me if everything pre today (18/03/03) is a bit sketchy. Who knows, it may continue that way).
