On the Bottle

Saturday saw a momentous moment for me - I fed Emily for the first time. Max got the hang of expressing some milk, and we had our first experimental feed in the afternoon.

Emily took to it right away, which was good, and I did OK too.

Max on the other hand didn't enjoy it quite as much as I did. She has already confessed that she didn't like it much. It's HER job, not mine - it just wasn't right. She tried to put on a brave face at the time, but confessed later.

I don't think she'll have to worry too much - I think it will only happen when we really need it (Max has to go somewhere, etc.).
Heaven's knows what we'll be like the first time we hand Emily over to a babysitter for the evening....

Seconding for panda on the pictures!

And I'm with Max on the feeding. I was v. territorial over Cordy when she was really tiny. Definitely a 'new mum' thing, I think - not very modern, but nature's way of making sure you don't wander off and leave them behind.
