Transition

Emily slept in her cot for the first time last night. Well, when I say 'in the cot' she was actually in her basket which was placed on in the cot, so it kind of counts. We decided it was about time we made the transition to cot from basket due to Emily's increasing size and in anticaption of trying the whole sleep training thing (which we will need to do in the not too distant future!).

I must say that it was very weird not looking out over the side of my bed to check if she was ok in the night, or to pull her blankets over her to keep her snugly. The cot is still in our room for now but its over by the wall instead.

I know, it all sounds a bit silly and possibly insignificant but I suppose the transition is more for me than her! Its a bit nerve-wracking the thought of her being in a room on her own.

So Stage 1 - Move into cot away from bed and next to wall.
& Stage 2 - Move behind wall and into own room.

I'm sure I'll be thankful eventually!

Have you been reading fishing magazines? If you buy new fishes for your pond you have to keep them in their own little bag of water whilst in the big pond till they get used to it! Another bit of silly infor for when Emily gets bigger and wants a goldfish!!! Love from nanny
