Chocolate
I went into town yesterday to get a few things and I suppose to get out of the house for a couple of hours. Em has been off colour all week and I thought it might do her good to get out and about too. I think she is going through a bad teething spell cause she is permanently grumpy and is not keen on having her bottle. She has also been doing this weird thing where she screws up her nose and lips and sniffs like Bear from the Big Blue House (its only been on a couple of times honest!). So she might even have a cold, its so hard to tell whats going on with little people who can't tell you whats wrong.
Anyway I am digressing slightly.
As you can guess the venture into town was quite hard work, as Emily spent most of the time crying. So, during one of these spells, in Boots, I was frantically stacking the top of the pushchair with goodies (one of these days I am going to forget that I have put something in there. I will walk out of the shop and no doubt be arrested for shoplifting!), and a girl (maybe early twenties?) and her baby started talking to me. In fact, this is the reason for my post.
Whilst Emily was crying and I was trying to reassure her, the girl said to me "Will she take a bit of Milkybar?". I thought to myself - did she just say that or did I imagine it? Surely no-one looks a little tiny baby and offers them chocolate?? Anyway I said "excuse me?" and right enough she was offering Milkybar. Just because it has the word 'milk' in the name I don't think it is any less chocolate! I caught myself saying 'No! I don't give her anything like that!' and immediately felt bad and thanked her for her offer.
Milkybar!
I suppose it could've been worse! But I couldn't help thinking noooooooooooo!
