Just when we thought we had the whole sleep routine thing sorted, Em goes and throws a spanner in the works! She has always gone down to sleep no problem and lately she has even started waving goodbye as we lay her down in the cot (aaah so cute). Then last night we entered, what can only be described as the 'next phase' of bedtime!
Everything was going like clockwork, she had her bottle and went up to bed snuggling her grobag as usual. Within about 10 minutes we heard her musical toy come on (which is attached to the cot). Doh! Warren had told me that he had seen her get up from lying down in the cot before, but I had never seen it happen. So we went upstairs to find her sitting up and ready to play. We managed to get her to lie down again and we went back downstairs. About 10 minutes later we heard to music again and then lots of crying. She had managed to get up again but had fallen and got stuck! This continued for about two hours! The only problem was that she had discovered by using the cot bars as leverage she could pull herself over and either sit or stand up, but she didn't know how to get back down again and into the cosy SLLLEEEEEP position. Evenutally we got her to sleep after much cajoling and an extra bottle!
So we had been previously lulled into a false sense of security with the night time routines and now we can only hope that she will stay lying down! You just never know whats around the corner...

Yep, I remember it well - lasted about 12 months as I recall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
