November 2004 Archives
Well, we've decided that we can officially announce that Emily is walking. She can make it across the living room (about 10 ft) without resorting to the characteristic lunge towards her destination after a few steps.
She's seems to be getting to the stage were she prefers to walk than crawl, even though it's slower (and wobblier). Occasionally though she still seems to think to herself "I'm getting nowhere fast here" and drops into "4 wheel drive"...
And with more walking, comes more boinking. The frequency of falling over and boinking her head has increased, although thankfully not dramatically. Hopefully we will reach a more stable stage soon.
Video clip to follow!
Emily's Top Ten things to do
1. Switch the telly off (especially in the middle of Football Focus!)
2. Empty the drawers in the kitchen
3. Empty the cereal cupboard and then sit on the floor happily eating Cheerios
4. Shout really loudly when in public places
5. Point and laugh at people in public places (very embarassing when its people in wheelchairs)
6. Sit on the floor with remote control and flick through channels, preferably ones that are not tuned in.
7. Getting wedged in corners and under furniture like the dining room table and her cot.
8. Crawl into the cloakroom and sit in there thinking
9. Cuddle all toys even if they are hard and bumpy
10. Splash in the bath until daddy and the floor is soaked and there is water dripping from the kitchen ceiling
TwoBlueLines is redesigned! Or that should really be 'designed', because it wasn't really the first time around.
I hope you like it. I've added some new stuff, but most of the stuff down the side is still to come... hopefully in the next week or so (haha!)
Feel free to comment on what you think, and also if you find any broken things! Maybe with this out of the way I'll be a more frequent poster - Max has been keeping you informed recently.
Oh, and regular commenters get their own icon! So come on, all you people who we know read this but never comment - don't be so shy!
