In the Genes

Emily loves the new chair that Warren bought her for Christmas (photos to come!) It is just so grown up, a proper little persons armchair. Although it is a new thing for her, she totally understands what it is, for example sometimes in the morning I will be in the kitchen heating up her bottle, she always follows me in there (and everywhere actually!) and when I say to her ' Do you want to go and sit in your chair and I will bring in your bottle' she turns right round and heads straight for the chair, gets in and waits patiently.

Lately she has moved it up a notch and climbs onto the chair and dances while holding onto the back. It never really dawned on me until Warren mentioned something about starting early and then I remembered all those times of doing the exact same thing myself...

...long gone are the days of dancing on chairs - a distant memory of my carefree, no responsibility days...
