Mommy Senses
It is so strange and amazing the connection that a mommy and baby have. I wonder if we always have this connection...I know that quite often when I phone my mom she says she knows that I was about to call, so maybe its always there..
Well last night, after decorating all night, having a bath and staying up till after midnight I was in a deep sleep when I woke at about 3.30am. I could hear Emily making very quiet vomitty noises. She was still quiet and didn't cry or call out, but for peace of mind I thought I had better check. When I went in she had been very sick and was completely covered - her hair, her cot, her sleeping bag, pj's, everything! The first time this has happened ( I don't count when she was tiny as she was always sicky with milk). So I had to wake Warren up, get her all changed, change the sheets, give her a wash (I would've bathed her if we had any hot water!) get a drink - and she seemed completely fine. In fact she seemed quite pleased that she was being fussed over in the middle of the night.
Its hard to say what may have caused it. It could've been something she ate maybe. Or she had her MMR on Monday (which went like a breeze and you would hardly know that she had a needle jabbed in her leg - I was very relieved) so maybe it has something to do with that. She appears to be fine this morning though and is in her usual jolly mischievous form, thankfully.

Poor you (all three of you)!
It might have been the MMR - sometimes tinies are sick for no apparent reason though. It *always* seems to start in the middle of the night!
Praise the lord that she wasn't in bed with you at the time. Tammy was pleasantly woken up once with Connor weeing over her in his sleep.
Yep, it's true Max, mom and daughter's do have some kind of physic bond. I think it's because Em is a bit of you - and when you hurt, you know don't you? It works the other way too - if you feel down, Em will know right away. All the more reason to keep happy eh?
