Over and over and over

I think I spent my days in a constant cycle of 'Can you put that back please?' 'Can you shut that door?' 'No thats Daddy's', 'No thats Mommy's'. Its kinda cute to see Emily develop new skills and discover new things but its driving me totally crazy that she is in and out of the kitchen cupboards 90% of the day! Maybe because the kitchen was just fitted last week and its a new and exciting place for her. I even put all of her things in one cupboard so that she could play with them, but of course she wants the places with breakables!

It can be funny at times, but when you are tired and you have cleaned and put away things for the hundredth time it can get pretty frustrating. Its very testing to have a little one who's into everything. It brings a new meaning to the word patience.

It's a really tiresome toddler-development period. Sometimes I felt like all I did all day was stop Cordy doing stuff! The work you are putting in now is what will give you a little girl you can take to other people's houses when she's older without her wrecking them (and will also stop your own house being wrecked!) It's worth it in the end. Them bashing stuff is (sort of) cute at 18 months - an out-of-control four year old is somewhat less charming!

my mum says I went through a phase of 'posting' things in the swing bin! quite a problem I imagine! and Tiggy (the cat)has a strange desire to climb inside the vegetable cupboard (I think she thinks the handy swing out corner unit may be a fun roundabout) but she has been known to spend quite some time in there when Paul hadn't noticed her climb in!

Emily too is going through a 'bin' phase and walks around picking up things and puts them in the bin! But luckily I haven't yet left her in a cupboard (or shoe box which she can somehow squeeze into) for too long hehe!
