Emily and I took part in a recent blog swap in the craft blogging community called 'Mini-Swap'. Everyone who agreed to take part was matched with another family somewhere in the world. The idea was for the children and parent to put together a parcel of either handmade or hand-me-down goodies that would help beat the winter blues. We were matched with a family in America and had to send a parcel for a little 4 year old boy called Noah. This was such a fun thing for us to do. Emily got lots of lovely goodies including this handmade bunny, complete with bedding and skirts.

There are more photos of what we sent to Noah and some of the other things that we got in return on my Noodles blog if you want to have a look. I hope they do this swap again in the future when Emily is a bit older and can play more of a part in the whole thing.

Gymnastic Club

Emily went to her first pre-school (2-3) gymnastic club today. She absolutely loved it! The moms sit on the side while the kids jump about on the soft floor part. Emily didn't hesitate in joining in and wasn't shy in the slightest. They did stretches and star jumps, bounced about like various animals, did rolls and hopped through hoops on the floor and jumped off the horse. All very exciting. I think this will have to be a regular thing, as you can imagine Emily was totally in her element!

Car Wash

Despite the arctic weather conditions today, Warren and Emily decided to wash the car. I made sure she was all wrapped up, complete with wellies. She absolutely loved it. She is so in her element doing things like this. She really helped Warren wash the car properly and hosed it all down herself too!

As you can imagine she got totally soaked. I had a lovely big towel all ready and toasty warm on the radiator for when she came in. I made her a hot chocolate but unfortunately she is not ready to appreciate the delights of a hot choccy just yet!
