Sweetiecake

Emily is more adorable every day (of course I would say that)! Sometimes even when she is up to mischief it can be hard to keep a straight face. She has taken to calling me her 'Sweetiecake' which just melts my heart everytime I hear it. Its just so lovely. She also quite often tells us that we are her best friends and on occasion we have caught her telling Harrison that he is her best friend too!

A really funny thing she said lately, which I have been trying to force Warren to post about (so you can fill in the blanks mister!) is to ask us why boys stand up to have a wee. She asked me this and I sent Warren in to explain as I thought it is boy stuff after all. To cut a long story short Warren explained that boys have willy's and thats what makes them boys, to which she replied by saying she wanted one!!! Later that day, on a trip to Tescos she decided to bring the conversation up again in the trolley so that everyone could hear! She also asked what the were for...hmm a tricky one for a 3 year old!

So its all starting. The boy V girl conversations. We will have to start thinking of really good answers to keep her satisfied as the 'its what makes boys boys and girls girls' answer just isn't going down too well.

It Seems Like Ages

It seems like ages since I have posted and I still have all the recent photos to show you, as well as trying to keep you up to date with what has been going on in this crazy household. It seems that Harrison will NOT even consider going anywhere near a bottle. It has gotten to the point now where, if you try to give him one, he pushes it away with both hands while screaming and he even starts freaking out if he sees the bottle in his sight. Half of me feels resigned to the fact that I will be breastfeeding little H forever and half of me wants to persevere in the hope that he might get used to it. Its just so hard to keep on trying when you feel like you are subjecting your child to some kind of extreme torture.

The progress with the solids is going very slowly as well and he hardly opens his mouth when its food time. I have to wait until he shouts or yawns and sneak it in. Although he definitely seems interested in food and watches whenever anyone is eating or drinking and he even shouts in excitement when his food is about, he just doesn't get the whole eating thing yet.

Its hard to remember what Emily was like, even with this blog, it still doesn't seem like enough information. I also think my brain has finally stopped working and there is not enough time in the day to stop and think. I'll have to post about other things soon as I am running out of steam, I have been sick the past few days and I am still low on energy. It ironically seems that whenever Warren has some rare time off work either one of us is sick. I can't tell you how annoying this is.
