I thought I never would...
Yesterday, for the first time in the history of my parenting I bought baby food! After a morning of making purees whilst listening to screaming (a very clingy boy) plus after lots of advice and discussion on the subject with my other liked minded parenty friends I decided to give it a try. I have to say, I almost put it back, the though of giving Harrison anything but the stuff I carefully prepare myself is just so alien to me.
I bought some lovely sounding Plum baby organic products (which aren't cheap by the way - another reason to make my own!) and today he had blueberry and banana which he absolutely loved and I actually didn't feel too guilty giving it him. I will only use them now and again and I will still mostly be giving him home made purees, but it certainly helps ease the pressure just a little bit, just to know they are there.

It's always handy to have something in reserve if you haven't got any prepared and it is good to find a brand that the tiny likes (you wouldn't want the freezer to break down and then have to take one of each brand from the shelves at Sainsbury's). Plum sounds good - some of the cheaper stuff is horrible (I know, I tried them myself.......).
By "cheaper stuff" Steve means Heinz baby organic - I would just like to make it clear that we didn't attempt to feed our child offal.
Cordy hated most bought baby food - she'd eat the fruity ones, but not the veggie ones. It is really handy to have something you can fall back on, just in case though.
